LRP repeats have been numbered according to Herz et al,2where “E” represents an epidermal growth factor-type repeat and “C” represents a complement-type repeat. Restriction sites (BamHI or Xho I) are underlined. Overhangs of several bases were included at the 5′ ends of the primers to facilitate restriction enzyme cleavage.
