Cells from 7 ANLL, 2 ALL, and 1 AML/ALL patients were exposed to DNR, IDR, or MTA and distributed in two 96-well microtiter plates. One plate was subjected to the MiCK assay while the other was incubated in a CO2-incubator. Apoptosis was measured in KU and determined in cytospin preparations as described in the legend to Fig2. Calculated percentages of apoptotic cells were determined using the equation: Apoptosis (%) = (KU + 0.644)/0.165 [see text].
