Thymic lobes from 14-day-old mouse embryos were organ-cultured in the presence of neutralizing anti–IL-7 MoAb. Cells from thymic lobes were recovered after a 12-day culture period, counted, cytospun onto slides, and stained with anti–MHC class II MoAb. Percentages of MHC class II+ cells exhibiting DC morphology were obtained scoring 5,000 cells in 5 to 7 cytospin preparations. The results represent means ± SEM of four independent experiments.
Statistical significance differences between control and IL-7-treated FTOC: *P ≤ .001.
