Eosinophils (5 × 106/mL) were incubated with buffer or IL-5 (10−10 mol/L) for 30 minutes at 37°C before STZ (1 mg/mL) or SOS (30 mg/mL) was added. After 15 minutes, the eosinophil suspensions were centrifuged and supernatants were collected for ECP and sPLA2 determination. The results are expressed as means ± SEM of three different experiments.
