The data represent the change in ISCs and β-actin available thiols in sickle cells which have been oxygenation-deoxygenation cycled for 16 hours in the presence of 0 or 20 mmol/L, NAC. Mean values are given ± standard error. The four experiments represent four independent homozygous SS subjects.
