Normal and PV day-6 ECFC were collected and lysed in buffer A with 1% Triton X-100. PTP activity was assayed with 32P-labeled ENDYINASL as a substrate and presented as units per milligram of protein. Erythroid colony efficiency represents the percentage of erythroid colonies formed per cell number plated in the plasma clot cultures.
