A query of the NCBI Build 37 of the mouse genome in January 2008 identified 306 genes within the congenic interval of B6.SJL mice (107-148 mbp). Using the mouse SNP Selector from the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, we identified 124 SNPs between B6 and SJL in the same region. A comparison of gene location and SNP location revealed that at least 45 of the genes in this interval contain 1 or more SNPs between the 2 strains.
SNP indicates single nucleotide polymorphism.
