The frequency of carriers and noncarriers of a given haplotype sums up to 100% in each group of patients. All observed haplotype pairs containing haplotype *1, *3, *4 or *5 contributed to the estimation of the number of the respective carriers. Respective EFS curves for the carriers of haplotypes *1 and *4 are given in Figure 2C and D.
