Blood counts were assessed in 7 wild-type (WT) and 13 age-matched BMP4 hypomorphs (8-12 weeks old). Platelet counts were obtained for 5 WT and 5 BMP4 hypomorphs. All hematologic parameters measured for both genotypes were in the normal range. The mean value ± SEM is presented for each parameter. The calculated P values from unpaired, 2-tailed, Student t tests for each parameter are shown.

WBCs indicates white blood cells; RBCs, red blood cells; MCV, mean corpuscle volume; MCH, mean corpuscular hemoglobin; and MCHC, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration.
