Data are total number and cellular density of GFP⁺ cells isolated from the femoral head, the diaphysis, and the knee 9 days after transplantation of 1000 LSKCD34⁻GFP⁺ cells into a lethally irradiated mouse. Data represent mean ± SEM of GFP⁺ cells purified from the 2 femurs of 6 different transplanted mice. The cellular density was calculated using the published volumes of the femoral head and of the diaphysis.¹⁹
