Complex (CPX) cytogenetics were defined as having ≥3 abnormalities. Favorable categories were sole deletion of 13q or 20q, trisomy 9 plus or minus 1 other abnormality. Unfavorable categories were abnormalities of chromosomes 5 or 7, or complex cytogenetics. Any abnormality of chromosome 17 defined very unfavorable cytogenetics.
