PBMCs (1.5 × 106 cells/mL) were cultured with medium or with anti-CD40 MoAb (5 μg/mL) plus either IL-4 (100 U/mL) or IL-13 (100 ng/mL). After 14 days the culture supernatants were procured and assessed for IgE by RIA and their net IgE content was calculated by subtracting the amount of IgE detected in the supernatants of cycloheximide-treated cultures. Results shown represent the mean of duplicate cultures.
