Data are expressed as the mean ± SEM of six separate experiments. Numbers significantly different from the values of the resting T-cell population are in bold (P < .001). A positive control for the induction of 24 epitope was performed by incubating unstimulated T cells with 500 μmol/L Mn2+, as previously described.46 In this experimental condition, the MFI increased from 14 ± 4 to 79 ± 18 (P < .001).
