Tubulo vesicular endosomes (End) and multivesicular bodies (MVB) positive for BSA-gold were scored after 5, 10, 30, and 60-minute intervals. Data are expressed as percentages of the total number of structures evaluated. Immunocytochemical characterization after respectively 10- and 60-minute BSA-gold uptake designated the tubulo vesicular structures as endosomes (MPR positive) and MVBs as (pre)-lysosomal (CD63 positive, MPR negative).
