Megakaryocytes were incubated for the indicated time intervals with medium containing 5 nm BSA-gold particles and processed for electron microscopy. The number of gold particles associated with each structure was scored at the selected time points. Numbers are expressed as percentages of the total and represent the average of three evaluations (n = 3).
