M1 cells stably transfected with retroviral vectors containing cDNAs encoding the individual WT1 isoforms were compared to parental cells or control M1.Neo cells generated by transfection with a retroviral vector encoding neomycin-resistance. Morphological differentiation was enumerated by Leishman's staining of cytospin preparations and scoring the proportion of immature blast cells to cells at intermediate monocytic and mature macrophage stages of differentiation.
