Effect of Crotalin, PGI2, Halysin and Ancrod on the Lapsed Time in Inducing Thrombus Formation Caused by Irradiation of Mesenteric Venules of Fluorescein Sodium-Treated Mice

Administration Occlusion Time (s)
Saline 105 ± 12 (6)
PGI2, 2 μg/kg/min 148 ± 16 (6)3-150,3-151
Halysin, 10 mg/kg  155 ± 20 (6)3-150,3-151
Ancrod, 1 U/kg  176 ± 31 (6)3-150,3-151
Crotalin, 300 μg/kg 293 ± 38 (6)3-150
Administration Occlusion Time (s)
Saline 105 ± 12 (6)
PGI2, 2 μg/kg/min 148 ± 16 (6)3-150,3-151
Halysin, 10 mg/kg  155 ± 20 (6)3-150,3-151
Ancrod, 1 U/kg  176 ± 31 (6)3-150,3-151
Crotalin, 300 μg/kg 293 ± 38 (6)3-150

Platelet-rich thrombus formation was induced as described in Table2. The occlusion time was measured 10 to 20 minutes after the administration of halysin, ancrod, crotalin, and PGI2. Values are presented as mean ± SEM (n = 6).

F3-150

P < .05 as compared with the control group (receiving normal saline).

F3-151

P < .05 as compared with crotalin group.
