Autologous pretransplant lymphoblasts and T47D cells were labeled with 51Cr and pretreated with either normal mouse serum or murine MoAbs to the MHC class I and MHC class II determinants for 1 hour at 4°C. The cells were washed in RPMI 1640 before use as targets in the 51Cr release assay. Effector T cells were derived from patients with biopsy confirmed autologous GVHD. The effector to target ratio was 100:1.
