Provoked venous thrombosis classified as thrombosis due to trauma, plaster cast use, surgery, pregnancy/puerperium, or immobilization, within 3 months prior to the index date, >4 hours of traveling by air, train, bus, or car in the 8 weeks before the index date, estrogen/progestogen use at time of the index date, and diagnosis of malignancy within 5 years.
