Patients with stroke also had TCD abnormalities, but the primary indication for MR scan in these cases was for investigation of acute neurological event or monitoring progression of cerebral ischemia and cerebrovascular disease after a previous stroke.
Other neurological symptoms included severe headache (n = 2) and possible transient ischemic attack (n = 2).
