Gene names that were also shown in the present study to be upregulated by hypoxia using quantitative RT-PCR.

It is currently debatable as to whether the human VEGFA gene is an NF-κB target gene as there is not a well-characterized κB site in its promoter. In mice, there is a putative κB site, but it is not clear whether it is functional.
