Cumulative data collected from timed matings of more than 30 distinct heterozygous males with 115 different heterozygous females. All breeders were of fifth-generation backcross C57BL/6.

Calculation of P values was based on the χ2 test for goodness of fit to compare distribution of genotypes with the Mendelian 1:2:1 ratio.
