Mice were genotyped as described in ″Animals.″ At weaning, the mice were kept in cages with normal drinking water (no antibiotics) or with water containing 170 mg/L of enrofloxacin. Mice genotyped as wt homozygous for the IL6 gene were routinely kept in cages with normal drinking water.
