For all populations, n = 4. Single-cell suspensions from BM, spleen, and LN of control and β1β7 mutant BM chimeras 2 months after polylC treatment were prepared; stained with antibodies against B220, CD19, IgM, IgD (med indicates medium; hi, high); and β1 integrin and analyzed by FACS. The averages of the population sizes in the respective tissues are shown with standard deviations.
