A total of 1076 unselected patients were enrolled by institutions located either in Northern (N patients) or Central Southern (CS patients) Italy. The institutions located in Northern Italy were the Aviano National Cancer Institute (Av), the Division of Hematology of the Novara University of Eastern Piedmont (No), and the Department of Oncology and Hematology of the University of Modena-Reggio Emilia (Mo-RE); the institutions located in Central Southern Italy were the Hematology Unit of the University of Siena (Si), the Hematology Unit of the La Sapienza University of Rome (RoLS), the S Eugenio Hospital of the University of Tor Vergata in Rome (RoTV), and the Hematology Institute of the Catholic University in Rome (RoCU).
M indicates mutated IGHV gene status; UM, unmutated IGHV gene status.
