After 28 days of ex vivo culture in the presence of AP20187, 8 × 106 cells containing either F36VFGFR1 or F36VMpl were transplanted into lethally irradiated mice, which were in turn evaluated on days 15 and 36 after transplantation. Without helper indicates 8 × 106 ex vivo—expanded cells transplanted alone, without fresh marrow cells; with helper, ex vivo—expanded cells transplanted in combination with 1 × 105 fresh marrow cells. All values are mean percentages of GFP+ cells (SD).
