For SGI assay, the results are expressed as the final parasitemia obtained after 72 hours of culture and as the SGI, calculated as indicated in “Materials and methods.”
All values represent the mean ± SD of 3 separate experiments. Percentages of SGI with negative values represent enhancement of parasite growth.
