Transplantation of HSCs transduced with a WASP-expressing retrovirus decreases the susceptibility to colitis in RAG-2 KO recipients
Donor HSCs (retrovirus) . | Recipient mice with colitis, % . | Mean colitis score . |
---|---|---|
WT (CMMP-GFP) | 0 (0/7) | 0.0 ± 0.0 |
WKO (CMMP-GFP) | 63 (5/8) | 1.9 ± 2.0* |
WKO (CMMP-WASP-GFP) | 22 (2/9) | 0.3 ± 0.7* |
Donor HSCs (retrovirus) . | Recipient mice with colitis, % . | Mean colitis score . |
---|---|---|
WT (CMMP-GFP) | 0 (0/7) | 0.0 ± 0.0 |
WKO (CMMP-GFP) | 63 (5/8) | 1.9 ± 2.0* |
WKO (CMMP-WASP-GFP) | 22 (2/9) | 0.3 ± 0.7* |
WT or WKO HSCs were transduced with the indicated retrovirus and then transplanted into RAG-2 KO recipient mice.
Colons were evaluated 8 to 12 weeks after transplantation from 4 transplantation experiments. Number of mice with colitis and their colitis scores ± standard deviations are noted.
Two-tailed t test between indicated groups:P = .037.
