Poor prognostic factors were marrow blast 5% or more, duration of CML 1 year or longer, percentage of Ph+ at start of therapy greater than 90%, and prior IFN-α response (hematologic resistance–refractory).
Poor prognostic factors were splenomegaly 10 cm or more, below coastal margin, longer duration of CML disease more than 3 years.
