HLA antigens of donor-recipient pairs were compared using cross-reactive groups. Transfusions were considered CREG incompatible when one or more donor HLA antigen fit in CREGs not represented by any of the patient's HLA antigens. Median CCIs are presented with the first and third quartile values in parentheses. The 2 cohorts were compared using unpaired, 2-tailed Student t test (p2 value = .08).
